Sustainable and useful products.

Phileppe Starck believes that "in future every designer will have to ensure that what they create is both useful and sustainable"

I believe that it's important for a designers products to be useful and sustainable as it will have a negative effect on the enviroment, if they aren't. It needs to be useful because as a designer you want to create a product that will always be wanted, needed and popular. There is not point designing an apron that absorbs water, your want it to be made with a water resistant finish. Otherwise, it's useless, and is likely to be chucked away. This isn't good for our enviroment and econnomy as it's wasting materials and money.

When creating a product it's function is one of the most important factors when it comes to designing and planning it, you can't create something which you can't adapt to it's feature. For example and iPod touch, Apple wanted to create a touch screen item, which also played music. Those were the two main factors which the product needed, however there are a lot of other product which play music and also are touch screen, this is why they gave it all the other axtra features, for example, a camera, apps, video player. All these features made it a lot more useful, and thefore helped the product sell.

It's important when you are designing to think about the enviromental features, if your product is sustainable or not. You need to think if you want your product to be long lasting or a piece of throw-away fashion, it's a lot more helpful on the enviroment and social factors if your product is high quality and long lasting. Something that will last for a long time can either be kept, made into something else, sold on or passed down families. This will reduce waste and not have a negative impact on the enviroment. When creating a product you want to consider that waste which you'll be creating, for example fabric cut-offs, instead of just chucking them away you could keep them and resuse them, or give them to someone e.g. children for doing crafts. There is always something that can altured to help the enviroment when creating a product.

Overall I think that it is important for your product to be useful and sustainable as you want your product to be the best it can we, have as little impact on the enviroment as possible and to be as long lasting as possible.

Christen Stuart Premier jump suit.

At first glance I did think this was a dress, then I saw a few more pictures and realised it was a jump suit! It's very different to what every one else wore but gorgeous none the less! The detail is immaculate, and it's just something that I cannot describe because it's just flawless. The patterned lace, the glitter embedded in the matieral...it's just outstanding! The sheer black jumpsuit was made by Zuhair Murad and I can't even rave anymore about it! hahaaa....

Juicy Couture - Fall 2013

Juicy Couture is a brand that I'm new to, and from what I have seen it is my kind of thing! It takes girliness to the max! Bright prints, floral dresses, colours that really, only a girl can pull of. I love this designer, and the designs for Fall are so pretty, they're bright yet summery, and gorgeous!

Burberry Prorsum - Fall 2013

Burberry has to be my favourite tailored designer brand ever! The garments always sleek and made to perfection, with earthy colours and tones and and overall look of professionalism to the pieces. I love the dolmation prints and the zebra print for the male clothing as it's subtle yet gorgeous.

Fringing in fashion.

Fringing is something you would percieve as an old trait, something that they used to wear in the 1920's, something youn associate with 'flapper dresses' and yes it is. Recently though it has been updated, and brought back into fashion.

Top shop are now selling this gorgeous silver and black fringed skirt.

It's been a trent that's popular lot of current fashion bloggers.

It's even made a return on to the cat walk! Fringing is back!

Blue ribbon dress

I've designed a blue dress, it's a light baby blue/sea blue colour and would be made out of Cotton. Coming down from the left shoulder and wrapping around the waist is a deep blue ribbon, tying up to make a bow on the hip. The right shoulder and waist section is fully encrusted with diamonte decoration, this will add glamour and beauty to the dress...helping to make this dress perfect for a red carpet event.

Paloma Faith...Fashion Inpiraston

Paloma Faith is the new Lady GaGa...well just not as extreme! Her style is her own, she wears a lot of "out there" clothes and she manages to wear them very well, with a great amaount of attitude.

Not always, but most of the time she has a beautiful head peice which compliments her out-fit really well, they are always really different and big, and make her stand-out, this is why I love her! hahaa...

Paloma Faith stands out as a woman who likes to well...stand out because she doesn't just use fashion to express herself, her bright orange hair, and the icons blonde fringe! Not forgetting her make-up! She always looks so flawless and perfect.

She always manages to pull off any colours, from black, to gold to purple...it's amazing!

I aws meant to be explaining why I love her fashion, I think I kind of just told you why I love her, haha! Oh well, you get what I mean?
